Tilt-Shift photography is a method where the photographer uses a Tilt-Shift lens and correct the subject's perspective by 'tilting & shifting' movements. The photographer has total control over the perspective alignment and depth of field. As Tilt-Shift lens is really more expensive than your conventional and more accepted refractive lens, there is a limited range of Tilt-Shift lens made.

Another reason on why some photographers shun away from these Tilt-Shift lens, is because there is a large group of photography hobbyists who prefer to rely on camera lens autofocusing (AF). We can only manual focus (MF) on Tilt-Shift lens.

And of course there are image-editing software that are able to digitally 'fake tilt-shift' our desired images.

Adobe Photoshop is one excellent image-editing software that allows users to manipulate images to what they want. Just bear in mind that the cheaper and free ones may not be able to render 'fake tilt-shift' effects as well as elite Photoshop.

If you do not want to download any software on your desktop, you can digitally 'fake tilt-shift' online. There are online Tilt-Shift generator that lets users upload their images and render them. Users are able to save and download these edited images immediately, or via email, depending on the website's operation.

Tilt-Shift lens belong to the elite group of camera lenses designed for specific purposes. They are prime and fast lens. A single fixed focal length with an aperture opening below F4. Tilt-Shift lens are normally favored in buildings and architectural photography.
